If you choose to break the rules...

The ultimate goal of any classroom discipline plan is to teach self control, acceptance of responsibility when a mistake is made - including making amends when others are hurt by our actions - and to ensure that all students are safely able to learn.

  • 1st Time:  Verbal warning/Reminder
  • 2nd Time:  Clipboard noted or clip moved on the chart
  • 3rd Time:  Chance to "Rehearse" the rules before going out to recess, and/or "Conference" with Mrs. Bailey (Clip moved and notation on clipboard)
  • 4th Time: Possible "Time Out" worksheet or Parent Contact after school. If you receive a "Time Out" slip, please note that this is an attempt to solve the problem between teacher and student - along with parent support and feedback.
  • 5th Time:  Depending on severity, the 5th warning in one day or a recurring problem on multiple days could result in an office referral.

Sever problems such as fighting, harassment or insubordination will result in an immediate office referral, possible removal from class, and/or a meeting between parents, teacher, student and principal.
